Sophie Linden (born 27 February 1970) is a British politician, and currently the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime in London.[1] She is a member of the Labour Party.
Political career
1992–1997: Researcher to David Blunkett MP.[2][3]
1997–2001: Linden was a Special Adviser to Labour Secretary of State for Education and Employment, David Blunkett MP.[4]
2001–2004: Linden continued to work alongside David Blunkett MP, as Special Adviser when he was appointed Home Secretary.
Linden moved over to become a Labour Councillor within the London Borough of Hackney, for the Dalston Ward, from 4 May 2006 to 10 June 2016.[5]
Linden was then appointed by Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan to be the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime.[6]
