Someday Cowboy is the second studio album by Canadian indie rock band Baby Jey, released on 14 September 2018 by Maintenance Records.[2][3]

Background

Someday Cowboy was recorded in two days in the childhood home of lead singer Jeremy Witten.[4][5][6] The album's lead single, "Someday My Space Cowboy Will Come," was released on 27 July 2018 and premiered by Indie88.[7] "U Don't Have 2 Go Alone," the album's second single, was premiered by Earmilk on 24 August 2018.[8][9] Someday Cowboy charted on college radio in Canada and the United States.[10][11] BeatRoute Magazine called Someday Cowboy "a light-hearted pop record at its core [that] shares a twang reminiscent of golden era country greats."[12] The recordings have been noted for their unconventional musical arrangements that combine lap steel guitar and mandolin with synthesizers and drum machines.[13][14]
