Somatochlora elongata, known generally as the "ski-tipped emerald" or "ski-tailed emerald", is a species of emeralds in the family Corduliidae.[1][2] It is found in North America.[2]

The IUCN conservation status of Somatochlora elongata is "LC", least concern, with no immediate threat to the species' survival. The population is stable.[3] [4]
