SoloPro, Inc. was a venture backed startup company based out of Durham, North Carolina. Incorporated in 2015, SoloPro is a real estate market network, aimed at helping consumers and agents alike. SoloPro works on a no-commission model, using technology to unbundle real estate transactions and allowing consumers to purchase the services they want on-demand and for a fixed price.

CNN named SoloPro as one of 5 startups "changing the real estate game"[1] in 2015.

SoloPro had over 1,400 agents in 46 states and is now called GoldenKey.[2]

History

SoloPro was created by Tommy Sowers, Shayne Sowers and Narayan Krishnan. The SoloPro founding team acts as the key managerial staff for the company: Shayne Sowers, President and Co-Founder; Narayan Krishnan, Chief Technical Officer and Co-Founder; and Tommy Sowers, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder.[3]

The company is headquartered in downtown Durham, North Carolina in the American Underground building.[4]

Investors

In June 2015, SoloPro closed its first, oversubscribed seed round of $1M led by Oxpoint Investments and Buchanan Ventures, and included investments from Blue {Seed} Capital, Arnold Capital and a number of angel investors.[5]

SoloPro received a strategic investment from Lowe's Home Improvement's venture arm in 2015.[6]
