Smalle Ee (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌsmɑlə ˈʔeː]; West Frisian: Smelle Ie) is the smallest village in Smallingerland municipality in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 43 in January 2017.[1]
History
Smalle Ee used to be the main village of a municipality with the same name. It was already mentioned in 1392, when there was a Benedictine nun monastery.
