Sisira Mendis is the Chief of State Intelligence Service (Sri Lanka). He was also a former Deputy inspector general of police in Sri Lanka.[1][2]

Early life and education

After being educated at Nalanda College, Colombo[3] he joined the Police Department in 1975.

He was DIG of Criminal Investigation Department (Sri Lanka) and Head of the Narcotic Bureau at the time of his retirement. Subsequently, Sisira Mendis was SSP Vavuniya during the height of the war against the LTTE separatists.
