Sir Nathaniel Napier, 3rd Baronet
Sir Nathaniel Napier, 3rd Baronet (c. 1668 – 24 February 1728), of Moor Crichel, Dorset, was an English politician who sat in the English House of Commons from 1695 to 1708 and in the British House of Commons from 1710 to 1722.[1]
Napier was the only surviving son of Sir Nathaniel Napier, 2nd Baronet, M.P., by Blanche Wyndham, the daughter and coheiress of judge Sir Hugh Wyndham of Silton, Dorset and entered Lincoln's Inn in 1683 and Trinity College, Oxford in 1685. He succeeded his father in 1709 to the baronetcy and Crichel House.[2]
Napier was a Member (MP) of the Parliament of England for Dorchester from 1695 to 1708 and from 1710 to 1722.
Napier married twice; firstly ,in 1691, Jane, the daughter of Sir Robert Worsley, 3rd Baronet, M.P., of Appuldurcombe, Isle of Wight and secondly, in 1691, Catherine, the daughter of William Alington, 3rd Baron Alington, M.P., the sister and coheiress of Giles Alington, 4th Baron Alington. With his second wife he had 5 sons and 3 daughters.
