Sir Geoffrey Fry, 1st Baronet

Sir Geoffrey Storrs Fry, 1st Baronet (1888–1960) was private secretary to prime ministers Andrew Bonar Law and Stanley Baldwin,[1][2] and a member of the Fry family.

Geoffrey Storrs Fry was born on 27 July 1888, the younger son of Francis James Fry and his second wife Elizabeth "Bessie" Fry née Pass,[2] and the grandson of Joseph Storrs Fry.

He was a director of J. S. Fry & Sons, the British chocolate company.[2]

He married Alathea Gardner, the second daughter of Lord Burghclere, and they had one child, (Ann) Jennifer Evelyn Elizabeth Fry (1916–2003), who married the poet Alan Ross.[2][3]

In 1921, he bought Oare House in Wiltshire, which was his home for the next forty years.[2]
