Side (mythology)

In Greek mythology, Side (Ancient Greek: Σίδη) was the name of two figures:

  • Side, the first wife of Orion and mother of his daughters Metioche and Menippe. It is said that Hera cast her into Hades because she rivaled herself in beauty.[1]
  • Side, one of the Danaids, also condemned to Tartarus for murdering her husband.
