Siddeswara kshetram

Siddeswara Kshetram, popularly known for "Siddeswara Swamy Temple", is an ancient Hindu temple of Lord Siddeswara on the hilltop of Siddeswara Gutta in Gurramkonda. It is one of the oldest temples in Chittoor District

The sanctum sanctorum of the temple has Lord Siddeswara along with Parvathi Ammavaru and Nandi The temple is located on a scenic beauty hilltop and have many surprises for those who wanna explore the surroundings

History and legend

It has a very long history and the people used to celebrate jathara at the time of shivarathri few decades back, a local school head master named Pemma Siddramulu was very active in bringing all the people together and arranging for the jathara, pooja was conducted everyday during his tenure and the temple had a glorious time during his tenure. After his demise there was no one to take care of the temple and it was forgotten over time.

It was renewed in the year 2013 by Pemma Nageswara Rao Son of Pemma Siddaramulu and three new idols were placed in the temple.
