Siarhiej Stasievich

Father Siarhiej Stasievich (Belarusian: Сяргей Стасевіч, born in 1978, Ivatsevichy, Brest Region) is a Belarusian Greek Catholic priest.

Biography

Siarhiej Stasievich was born in 1978 in Ivatsevichy, Brest Oblast. During his studies at the Belarusian State University he joined to the Catholic Church. With the support of the Rector of the Belarusian Catholic Mission in London, Alexander Nadson Stasievich was adopted in Greek counterpart in Rome and also studied at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas, in which in 2004 he received a Bachelor degree of Theology. On 14 May 2006 in London he was ordained deacon by Ukrainian Bishop Paul Patrick Chomnycky, OSBM. Stasievich was ordained priest on 27 September of the same year[1] and he is the current priest of the Church of St Cyril of Turau and All the Patron Saints of the Belarusian People.[2]
