Shohjahon Ergashev (born December 12, 1991) is an Uzbek professional boxer. Ergashev currently competes in the super lightweight division (140 LBS/63.5 KG). He has 12 fights under his belt and won 11 of them with a knockout.[1].

Background

Ergashev was born Fergana in Uzbekistan. He was representing National Team for a while but them his coach advised him to become a professional boxer.[2]

Career

Ergashev fought 9 professional fights, all of which ended before the stoppage time, in Russia and then signed up for Salita promotions and subsequently moved to US.[3] In US he had 2 successful fights against Marquis Hawthorne and Sonny Fredrickson where he won both fights via technical knockout.[4][5]

On April 28, 2018, Ergashev is expected to fight with Zhimin Wang from China for vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) International belt.[6] Ergashev won the bout via unanimous decision.[7]
