Shiwani Saini is an Indian actress and model who appears primarily in Bollywood films however is active in Punjabi (Pollywood) films as well. She made her debut with the Punjabi movie Happy Go Lucky.[1][2]

Early life and modelling career

Shiwani Saini was born in Ambala. She earned a bachelor's degree in fashion design from Chandigarh, which introduced her to the world of modelling and led to her volunteering in the Lakme Fashion Week 2012. After Lakme Fashion week, Shiwani did theater with Yuva Puraskar winner Chakresh Kumar and his Alankar Theatre Group.[3][4] Beyond acting, she is known to have a passion for biking and is a trained in martial arts.[5]

Career

Shiwani Saini made her film debut in the "Harry Baweja" production Baweja movies, Punjabi movie Happy Go Lucky. Subsequently she was selected for the role of Sarabjit's elder daughter (Swapan) in the upcoming Indian biographical drama film Sarabjit. She is currently working in the Hollywood film, 5 Weddings as Devika; set to release in 2017.[6]
