Sherpa is an Australian company that provides on-demand delivery through technology and a network of crowdsourced couriers. Users can have anything delivered locally in less than 2 hours.[2][3][4][5][6][7]

Operations

Sherpa operates in Sydney & Melbourne, Australia with operations soon to expand to Asia. Sherpa was founded in 2014 by Mathieu Cornillon, Ben Nowlan & Bastien Vetault.[8]

Sherpa takes the concept of crowdsourcing, utilising the existing inventory of people and vehicles to provide a dynamic and true on-demand delivery solution for businesses and users.[9][5][3]

  • Users: An end user (individuals) of Sherpa logs deliveries via a mobile app on iPhone and Android or via the web platform. Users can arrange a simple pick-up and delivery or a purchase and delivery. The latter meaning a user can send a Sherpa to the shop to purchase items on their behalf.[3]
  • Businesses: Businesses use Sherpa to deliver any goods to their customers in a short time frame, usually less than hour.[3]
  • Technology:[3]
    • Real time tracking of the delivery via GPS positioning
    • Communication directly with the Sherpa
    • Courier rating system
    • Multi-item delivery solution for businesses
    • e-commerce platform integration
