Sherin Taama (Arabic: شيرين طعمة, born May 26, 1982 in Alexandria) is an Egyptian rhythmic gymnast.

Taama competed for Egypt in the rhythmic gymnastics individual all-around competition at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. She placed 24th in the qualification round and did not advance to the final.[1]

Career

Experience as a gymnastics player:


• Egyptian national team player from 1993 to 2001.

• The first Egyptian, Arab and African player to qualify and participate in the Olympics Games Sydney 2000 (SENIOR LEVEL).

• Participated in (World games Akita Japan 2001) by an invitation from international gymnastics federation as one of the best 24 rhythmic gymnastics players worldwide (SENIOR LEVEL).

• Participated in the summer Universiade in China 2001(SENIOR LEVEL).

• Obtained 4 golden medals + 2 silver medals in the African championship in Tunis 2000 (SENIOR LEVEL).

• Obtained 2 golden medals + 4 silver medals in all Africa Games, Johannesburg 1999(SENIOR LEVEL).

• Obtained the tenth place in over all, and the 8th place in Ball and Ribbon, in World Cup Madera, Portugal 1999(SENIOR LEVEL).

• Participated in the Four Continents championship, U.S.A 1999(SENIOR LEVEL).
