Sheena Chohan is an Indian Actress. Sheena Chohan was crowned "Miss Kolkata" while still in high school, before being hand-picked by Sushmita Sen to participate in Miss Universe, where she won the only title to be voted for by millions of viewers – "I Am Voice", for her connectivity with the audience. An actress since childhood, Sheena acted professionally in almost 30 theatre plays with eminent directors including Arvind Gaur until she won the lead female role in the South Indian film The Train, directed by National Award-winning director Jayaraj, opposite the south superstar Mammootty.[1]

She started off her career as a model and won the coveted "Lakme Miss Kolkata" title. Later, she was hand-picked by Sushmita Sen to compete in the Miss India Universe – I am she contest, and won the title.

Sheena made her acting debut with the Malayalam film The Train co-starring superstar Mammootty, directed by Jayaraj, Indian National Award-winning Director. The film was released in June 2011 and was a box office hit.

In 2012, she acted in Mukti and Patralekha, directed by the national award winner Buddhadev Dasgupta.[2] Both the movies were based on Rabindranath Tagore's poems.[3]

In 2014, Sheena was the lead protagonist "Rima" in Mostofa Sarwar Farooki's film Ant Story. The film made a world premiere at the Dubai International Film Festival in December 2013.[4]

Sheena was also nominated for the best actress award at the Dubai and Shanghai International Film Festival for Ant Story.

Sheena shot for the Bengali film named Justice with director Bappaditya Bandopadhyay in 2015, which is in the pre-production stage.[5]

In 2016 Sheena completed shooting for a Short film - Priya, based on Tess by Ed Hardy, where she played the lead character of a village girl named Priya.

In the same year, she also shot a music video on the legendary retro song "Chand sa Roshan Chehra", an episode for an upcoming web series, and an advertisement for Cello Pens. She is currently shooting for her next film.

Sheena was in Hollywood for six months in 2016 where she shot short films, a music video, a TV commercial, an episode of a Hollywood TV show pilot and a Web film. Sheena Chohan was selected for the cover of the 2nd edition of the newly relaunched Celebrity Magazine. The first edition featured John Travolta.

She trained with one of the finest acting schools there - The Acting Centre, where she upgraded her skills as an actress.

Recently, she shot a Comedy Web film with famous Impressionist/ comedian Jim Meskimen, which released in July 2017.

After the success of her highest rated TV show Bangladesh Premier League, As the Youth for Human Rights Ambassador for South Asia, Sheena reached 35,000,000 people in Bangladesh with their human rights. She made sure human rights were featured on the cover of the five top newspapers and magazines in the country and radio shows. Sheena became known as the Human Rights Girl and due to her Human rights campaign, now 47 universities in Bangladesh use the Youth for Human Rights curriculum to educate their students on their rights.

Recently Netflix featured her film Ant Story, of which she was the star.

As an actress, she has worked with brands like Sony Bravia, Wella, Make-up Art Cosmetics and Videocon.
