Shauna Macdonald (born 21 February 1981) is a Malaysian-born Scottish actress, known portraying Sarah in the horror film The Descent and its sequel.[1].

Early life

Shauna Macdonald was born in Malaysia and shortly after moved back to her family's native Edinburgh, Scotland, before moving to Glasgow to train at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.

Personal life

Macdonald and her husband, the actor Cal MacAninch,[2] have three daughters.[3] She is a keen marathon runner.[4]
