Sharptooth is an American hardcore punk[1] band from Baltimore, Maryland. The ensemble has released an EP called Chompers and a studio album entitled Clever Girl.[2]

History

Sharptooth was formed by Keith Higgins, Lance Donati, and three other friends, as a pop punk band. When they asked Lauren Kashan to join, their music style changed to a much heavier hardcore sound. Not long after Lauren joining, Phil Rasinski joined. Josh was the drummer at the time. Josh left after the recording of Clever Girl, Conor Mac is now the current drummer.

Donati was in a band prior to Sharptooth called Littlefoot.

They got signed to Pure Noise Records in early 2017. The label features other bands such as Knocked Loose, Senses Fail, and Less Than Jake.

In early 2018, the ensemble toured with Anti-Flag, Stray from the Path and The White Noise.[3] They went on to tour with Senses Fail. In the summer of 2018, Sharptooth played every date of the Vans Warped Tour. They will also be opening for Cane Hill (band)'s first headlining tour throughout the fall of 2018.

Critical reception

Kayla Lee of New Fury Media describes Below The Docks as "full of powerful and catchy tracks".[4]

Vince Bellino of Decibel Magazine stated that the group has "earned a reputation up and down the east coast for their fierce political message and chaotic live shows".[2]
