Shankudeb Panda (born 31 July 1980) was the State General Secretary of All India Trinamool Congress, a political party in India. He was removed from all the posts he held in the party on 14 December 2015, on charges of corruption.[1] Before joining Trinamool Congress, he worked as a Journalist of a second string Bengali new channel NE Bangla. In 2008, he conducted an unauthorized sting operation voluntarily on Mohammed Ilyas, the then CPI MLA from Nandigram, and claimed to have caught him on camera, taking money in lieu of his constituency's developmental work.[2][3]

In 2014, he was accused to be involved in Saradha Group financial scandal, currently investigated by Central Bureau of Investigation. In March 2016 Narada sting operation released a video showing him asking for stake in the fictitious company Impex against favours he would do for Impex.[4]

Film

Panda made his directorial debut in a Bengali film Comrade (2017 film) based on the indecent of Singur and Nandigram violence.[5]
