Shane Todd (born 9 June 1988) is a comedian, television, and radio presenter and actor from Holywood, Northern Ireland.

Career

Early career

Todd began comedy by posting videos on YouTube, as part of the Harlem Gun Club. He also acts as Mike McGoldrick and many other characters including MC BEEZER an unfunny commentary on the lower middle class of Northern Ireland.

He hasn't really accomplished anything since the song Woke Up In Limavady.

TV, film and radio work

In 2008, Todd appeared in films Battle of the Bone and Ape. In 2010, he appeared in L.O.L.

In 2015, Todd appeared in the Dani's Castle episode "The Dead Headz" as Tommy.

He also released a teaser for a sitcom called Application, where he plays a fictional version of himself.[2]

During the Northern Ireland campaign in the Euros 2016, Todd featured on BBC 5 Live.

In July 2016, BBC Northern Ireland commissioned a series from Todd called The Shane Todd Show. It airs Tuesdays on BBC Radio Ulster.[3]

He also does a podcast with the Dave Elliot (Papa Physique) called the Boytown Podcast. During the Podcast they tweet celebrities in a segment called Tweet-back. Shane also has it out for Friend of the Show Carletonioni. He also has his own personal podcast called The Shane Toddcast.

Live comedy

Todd was the warm-up act ahead of the main Nolan LIVE show in 2014.

Todd was at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2015 and again at the 2016 festival.[4]

In 2015, Todd had his own stand-up show, "SICK, BRO", which took place in Mandela Hall.[5]

In 2016, Todd will have another stand-up show at the Ulster Hall, called From Holywood to Hollywood.


Personal life

Todd is the son of Denis Todd and Susan Knight. Denis and Susan divorced when Shane was just 3 months old. He has two siblings, brother Luke and sister Sophie.[6]
