Shaker Mahmoud Hamza (born 5 May 1960) is an Iraqi football midfielder who played for Iraq in the 1986 FIFA World Cup.[1] He also played for Al-Shabab.
Shaker Mahmoud was one of the best attacking midfielders in Iraq during the 1980s. [2]
The midfielder also helped Iraq to their 2nd Olympic finals in 1984 in Los Angeles, United States, where he played in all three games against Canada, Cameroon and Yugoslavia. Two years later, Shaker played in the World Cup in Mexico, making a second half substitute appearance for Anad Abid in Iraq’s last game against the hosts. [2] Shaker scored the last and all-importat goal in the 3-1 won over Syria that help Iraq to qualify for their first ever World Cup appearance. [2]
