Ravalle Quinn[2] (born November 4, 1987[3]), better known by his stage name Shady Blaze, is an American hip hop artist from East Oakland, Oakland, California.[4] He is a member of the Green Ova crew.[5] He has collaborated with Main Attrakionz and Friendzone, among others.[6] Stereogum described him as "a Twista/Bone Thugs-style fast-rap specialist who goes all melodiously mile-a-minute over blissed-out cloud-rap beats".[7]

Career

In July 2011, Shady Blaze released a collaborative album with the producer Ryan Hemsworth, titled Distorted.[8] In 2012, he released the solo album, The Grind, Hustle & Talent.[9]

In October 2012, he released Kill or Be Killed with the rapper Deniro Farrar.[10] It was produced by Ryan Hemsworth, Friendzone, and Keyboard Kid, among others.[11] Consequence of Sound gave the album 4 out of 5 stars.[12] Stereogum listed it as their "Mixtape of the Week".[13] In November 2012, he released a collaborative single with Deniro Farrar and Lunice, titled "All I Know".[14]

In March 2013, Shady Blaze's song, "Rest in Peace R.J.", was listed by Spin as one of their "Rap Songs of the Week".[15] He released the solo album, The 5th Chapter, in May 2013.[16] Another solo album, Green Ova's Most Hated, followed in November 2013.[17]
