Sericopelma angustum, also known as the Costa Rican red tarantula, is a species of spider in the family Theraphosidae[1] found in Mexico and Central America.[2][3] The species was formerly included in the genus Brachypelma.[4]

Description

It measures 3.5–4 inches (8.9–10.2 cm).[5] The coomon refers to the red hairs covering the legs and abdomen; the thorax is black or brown.[6]
