Senarath Liyana Arachchi is an astrologer,palmist, author, guest and commentator on radio and television, in Sri Lanka. [1]

Early life

He was born on 26 October 1950 to a reputed family in Pitigala Galle District.His mother, Isanona Epa Senaviratne was a grand- daughter of Don Philip De Silva Epa Appuhamy(founder of the Epa Almanac) and his father, Adman Liyana Arachchi was a village headman in Pitigala in Galle District. He received his primary education in Gamini College, Benthara and later entered Ananda College in Elpitiya. He nurtured in an astrological & religious environment since his birth and he carried forward the inherited traditions and astrology.[2]

Career

Deshabandhu Senarath Liyana Arachchi was a Senior Railway Station Master in Sri Lanka. He worked in different areas of the country as a railway station master for nearly 40 years.[3]

Awards

  • Awarded Deshabandu,Deshashakthi national honour for his meritorious service as an Astrologer and Palmist.
