Sean Marielle Higgins (born December 30, 1968) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for Michigan,[1] whom he helped win the 1989 national championship.
Higgins was selected by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2nd round (54th overall) of the 1990 NBA Draft, and played for the Spurs, Orlando Magic, Golden State Warriors, New Jersey Nets, Philadelphia 76ers and Portland Trail Blazers in eight NBA seasons, averaging 6.3 points-per-game in his career.
In 2004 Higgins became General Manager and Head Coach of the Fresno Heatwave of the American Basketball Assoc. Sean later joinedEdmonds Community College in Edmonds, Washington as there head basketball coach. The 2009-10 season was coach Higgins' first as head of Edmonds Community College men's basketball program.
He is currently USA director of Nine Star Basketball Camps that specializes in basketball player development for amateur and professional athletes. He's also managing partner of Nine Star Global Hoops Inc, concentrated in scouting and college exposure. He's secured over 10 million dollars in real-estate investments, including brokering two partnership acquisitions with industry leading investment firms to build a multiplex sports center in Nevada.
