Schizopyge niger, also known as the Alghad snowtrout, is a species of ray-finned fish in the genus Schizopyge.

Biology

Native to India and Pakistan. Found in lakes and adjoining channels. Feeds on detritus and breeds in cold and clear pockets of lakes, particularly on the roots of willow trees.[1]
