Sayak Barai (born 22 January 1997) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a Goalkeeper for Chennaiyin FC Reserves and Academy in the I-League 2nd Division.

Youth years

Having come up through the state level ranks for Delhi, he was recruited by the AIFF to play for the under-16 and under-19 national sides before joining the AIFF Elite Academy.He was Selected in the Team India U19 by the Bayern Munich Football Club for FC Bayern Youth Cup Football Tournament which was held from 20-25th May 2012 at Munich,Germany and Represented Indian Team at the very young age of 15. [1] He was part of the 22-member India Under-19 squad was selected on for the South Asian Football Federation SAFF U-19 Championship 2015 . [2] [3] and got Graduated in 2015, also played under-19 national league before getting picked by DSK Shivajians F.C. . He Represented India at the ACT Frenz International Cup 2015,Malaysia.[4] [5] He also played for India national under-20 football team in the AFC U-19 Championship

Club career

Joined DSK Shivajians F.C. in 2016-17 season [6] [7] .Next Season shifted to Chennaiyin FC Reserves and Academy in 2017-18 Season [8] .
