Saya Zamurai

Saya-Zamurai (さや侍) is a 2010 Japanese film directed and written by Hitoshi Matsumoto. This movie was exhibited at the 64th Locarno International Film Festival.[1]

Story

A samurai named Kanjuro Nomi is arrested for an illegal escape and commanded to entertain lord's son. If Nomi cannot make the son smile within thirty days, he had to commit 'harakiri'. His daughter and two guards decide to aid him in his task.
