Saumlaki is a town in Yamdena, Maluku, Indonesia. Although its exact population is unknown, most estimates for its population fall around 20,000 people. Christianity is the main religion of the town, as it was visited by the Dutch in 1629 and claimed by them in 1639, although a lot of the town also follows original Indonesian religions. The town is very remote and outside access to it is limited.[1]
