Saturnine Valentines is the first studio album by Hungarian indie-rock band Dawnstar. It was released on 16 May 2013 by Hajnal Records.[1][2] The first music video In Heaven We Meet Again was released on 20 January 2016.[3]

Background

Dawnstar initially wanted to hire music producer Zoltán Takács (known for his work on Ivan and The Parazol's Mama Don't You Recognize Ivan & The Parazol? and Fran Palermo's Museum of Clouds) to produce their first studio album. However, during the recording sessions the band decided to produce the record themselves.

The album was recorded by László Philipp at Abnormal Studios in Pesterzsébet, Budapest, Hungary in August 2012. However, the vocals were recorded by Dávid Schram (known for his work on FreshFabrik's Mora) at Dürer Studios in Budapest from September to December 2012. The band also hired Schramm to mix the eight tracks of the album.[4]
