Sattari (Bengali:সাতটারী) is a village in Malda district of the state of West Bengal, India. It is the 4th-most-populous village and 32nd-biggest village by area in the English Bazar development block of the district. Sattari is known for producing mango (aam) supply, lace (gamchha), and carpet work. It is the headquarters of Binodpur Gram Panchayat (village council) on which it is represented by 6 of the 13 seats.

Geography

Sattari village is located in the English Bazar tehsil (English: administrative unit) or community development block of Maldah district in West Bengal, India. It is situated 14.4 kilometres (8.9 mi) from sub-district headquarter Malda and 15.1 kilometres (9.4 mi) from the district headquarters of the English Bazar. It is at the border of English Bazar and Mothabari on the Pagla River, a tributary of the Ganges.
