Satra Ko Shaadi Hai [Translation: There's a wedding on 17th] is an upcoming indian film set to release in 2017 starring Barun Sobti and Sapna Pabbi in the lead roles.

Plot

An IT boy Naresh Singhal (Barun Sobti) comes across a girl named Suneha Garg (Sapna Pabbi) on a matrimonial website and soon they get engaged. Their wedding date is set for 17 March. The story takes a wild turn when the wedding turns into a battle between the two sets of in-laws.[1]

Development

On 30 Apr 2014 UTV Motion Pictures and J A Entertainment announced that their next production would be Satra Ko Shaadi Hai and that the film would revolve around Indian weddings.[2] The film is going to be directed by Arshad Sayed while actor John Abraham will produce it and it's said that the film will feature an ensemble cast of over 50 actors.[3][4]In May 2017, Sobti indicated that he believed the film had been shelved. "I don't exactly know the status of that film, but I doubt it's ever going to come out. I finished shooting for it long ago."[5]
