Sathyaraj Natarajan is an Indian film editor, who has worked on Tamil language films. An erstwhile assistant to Praveen K. L., Sathyaraj has often collaborated in ventures involving director Sai Gokul and won critical acclaim for his work in Vidiyum Munn (2013) and Kalyana Samayal Saadham (2013).

Career

Sathyaraj worked as an assistant to Praveen K. L., notably helping him on the production of Aaranya Kaandam (2011).[1] Sathyaraj made his debut as a film editor in Hansraj Saxena's shelved horror film Shivani directed by Sai Gokul. Even though the film did not have a theatrical release, Sathyaraj managed to work simultaneously on two critically acclaimed projects, the thriller Vidiyum Munn (2013) and the romantic comedy Kalyana Samayal Saadham (2013). Both films won Sathyaraj acclaim, with Behindwoods.com presenting him the Best Editor Award for his work.[2][3]

Sathyaraj has since worked on films including Sai Gokul's next film Vaaliba Raja (2016) and the Anirudh musical Rum (2017). His acquaintance with Thiagarajan Kumararaja meant that the director chose Sathyaraj to work as the editor on his next film, Aneethi Kathaigal (2017) starring Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha.
