Music group

SNCW has a famous musical group, of the same name, composed of students of the college even though there is no programs in music theory. The group formed in 1968 in secret since the school had banned singing and dancing by its students. In 1994 SNCW went public and changed school policy. Since then they have released multiple albums and live recordings. Starting in 2002 the group releases one album every school year.

The band performs their songs with a capella instrumentation. The songs are based mainly on the courses of study at the college. Songs about Astronomy, History, Sociology and even Mathematics have charted in India and other countries. They also include political and religious songs. In 1995 and 2004 they played shows by the request of the Queen of England. They have performed for U.S. presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, heads of state, and the United Nations. In 2004 the group played several sold-out shows in Pakistan.

Their last album was released in April 2012 and is called Impossible to One.
