Sardarpura or Jharu ka Bas is a village of the Tehsil Rajgarh (Rajasthan).[1] It is situated at Latitude (28.524813), Longitude (75.512563) or +28° 31' 29.33" North, +75° 30' 45.23 East.[2] According to the census of India 2011, Sardarpura has the total population 1,695, where male population 901, female population 794, and number of households are 308.[3] It was founded in 1910 by Jharu Ram Poonia, after whom the Village has been named "Jharu Ka Bas" also. The Village is also known as the "Chhota Hameerwas" because, this village is separated from Hameerwas. Actually this village is considered under Hameerwas Grampanchayat and Shree Dhan Singh Pandu was the only sarpanch elected in this Grampanchayat, the resident of Sardarpura ever.

Climate

Sardarpura is known for its extreme climate. Summer temperatures reach up to 52 degree Celsius between May and July, while winter temperatures reach sub-zero levels between December and January. Months of October and March are generally considered most pleasant. Sardarpura mostly suffers from low rain fall causing continuous drought for successive years.

Loharu (49 km via Pilani) in Haryana and Sadulpur (20 km) Both are served by fully broad gauge sections. Nearest international airports are Jaipur and Delhi. Jaipur is 248 km from Sardarpura and Delhi is 191 km both are well connected by road.

Tourism

Sardarpura has some worth watching visiting places like Poonia khap Panchayat, Dada Keshara Temple, and Holi which includes lots of entertainment and fun. But Dada Keshara temple is main attraction of this village, actually, this temple is known for Kabaddi tournament on the occasion of Janmashthami. Some fresco painted old Havelis are also situated in middle areas of Village.
