Saqib Mahmood (born 25 February 1997) is an English cricketer who plays for Lancashire County Cricket Club. Saqib Mahmood is a right-arm fast-medium bowler, who bats right-handed. In December 2015 he was named in England's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.[1] A decent tournament at the England Under-19 World Cup in Bangladesh in 2016 increased his standing as he led the attack with gusto and only two bowlers took more wickets in the competition.

England were certainly interested even as Lancashire rationed his opportunities. He prepared for 2017 by taking part in the ECB's specialist fast bowling training camp in Potchefstroom and then was a surprise pick for the England Lions squad to shadow the Ashes party in Australia as England widened their hunt for the next generation of fast bowlers.
