Samuel Tefera (born 23 October 1999) is an Ethiopian middle distance runner. He is the 2018 World indoor Champion at 1500 metres. He is also the pending World Junior Record holder in the event, running 3:36.05 in Val-de-Reuil, France, January 27, 2018, the first time he had ever raced on an indoor track.[1] Outdoors he has run 3:33.78, set at the Fanny Blankers-Koen Games in Hengelo, Netherlands in 2017.
