Samitha Kumari Erandathi Mudunkotuwa, better known by her Artist name Samitha Erandathi Mudunkotuwa (Sinhalese: සමිතා එරන්දති මුදුන්කොටුව), is a popular Sri Lankan Playback singer and Actress who was born on 7 January 1973 at Horana, the only child of Premadasa Mudunkotuwa and Kumari Bothota.[1] She had her primary education at Shripali Vidyalaya, Horana and Buddhist Ladies' College. In 1988 Samitha contributed to the Sinhala teledrama Ira paya as the main actress and the background singer performing the song “Ira paya”], on invitation by Rohana Weerasinghe.[2]
