Samer al-Masry, also spelled Samer al-Masri, (Arabic: سامر المصري; born 3 August 1969 in Damascus, Syria) is a Syrian actor. He is best known for his lead role in the Syrian drama Bab al-Hara.[1]

Career

al-Masry has performed in theater and film but is best known for his work in television and his lead role in Bab al-Hara. He has also starred in Al Dabour, Abu Janti, and Beit Jidi as Abu Hijaz.

al-Masry first took part in the Palestinian TV series Yaa yeet as the leading character at a young age. He then participated in the Syrian TV series Baba black sheep as Abu Sh'hab for the first three seasons. He also participated in many other TV shows such as Al Dabour 1 and 2, JCC Ana Wa Ekhwaty, and Fajr Akhar. His last TV appearance was on the second season of Samer Al Masry's TV series Abu Janti 2 in Dubai as a guest in one of the episodes. After Abu Janti 2 in 2012, Samer Al Masri moved to Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. In 2014, Samer Al-Masry took part in the new movie From A to B alongside Egyptian actor Khaled Abol Naga and Yosra El Lozy.
