Saleem Safi

Saleem Safi (Urdu, Pashto: سلیم صافی) is a Pakistani journalist, columnist, defence analyst and current affairs TV talk show anchorperson, host and great analyst.[1][2]

Career

Saleem Safi is considered a specialist in issues concerning Afghanistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan's tribal areas. The campaign on social media against Saleem Safi was at peak in August 2018. [1][3]

He is a pashtoon nationalist and Jamat e Islami supporter.[1][4][2] He has hosted various current affairs programmes on TV channels such as PTV News, the Pashto-language AVT Khyber and is currently serving as the host of GEO News TV talk show Jirga.[5][6]

He has also written columns for the Daily Jang, an Urdu language newspaper. [7]

Books

Saleem Safi is the author of Afghanistan: US, Taliban, Aur Pakistan Ki Deeni Juma’aton Ka Kirdar ("Afghanistan: The role of US, Taliban and Pakistan's religious parties"), published in 2004.[1]
