Saket Modi (ca. 1990/91[1]) is an Indian entrepreneur[2] and an ethical hacker.[3][4][5] He is the co-founder and CEO of Lucideus Tech,[6][7] an online cyber security company[8][9] that is involved in securing government and enterprise digital setups.[1][10][11] He led the team that developed the smartphone privacy app UnHack.[12][13][14] He is an ocassional technology writer[15][16][17] in the Indian media.

Early life

Saket was born and raised in Kolkata (Calcutta). In the year 2009, he joined the LNM Institute of Information Technology, for engineering as a computer science major. He completed early schooling from Lakshmipat Singhania Academy. Before starting Lucideus in 2012, Saket initiated his career by giving seminars and workshops on ethical hacking and cyber forensics.[18][19][20] His workshops gradually became popular, as a result of which he was invited to over a hundred colleges across the globe.[21] Some of the major Institutions who have hosted his workshops include UIUC, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, BITS Pilani, IIT Guwahati among others.[22]

Under Saket's leadership, Lucideus has also won several awards - the most prominent being the "Best IT Startup of India" at the National Entrepreneurship Awards 2016 organised by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India [36] and felicitated by Minister of Home Affairs (India), Sri Rajnath Singh.
