Said Kerimov (born July 6, 1995) is the heir to Russian billionaire and politician Suleyman Kerimov. Since 2016, Said Kerimov has been a member of the Strategy Committee and Board of Directors of Polyus.[1]

Biography

Said Kerimov is one of Suleyman Kerimov's three children and was born in Dagestan.[2] His mother Firuza Kerimova is involved in social activities in Dagestan.[3]

In 2016 Said graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) with a bachelor's degree in business management.[4]

Career

In 2014, Said acquired Russia's cinema chain, Cinema Park from Vladimir Potanin for an estimated $385 million.[5] Cinema Park was sold in 2017 to Alexander Mamut.[6][7]

In 2017, Said Kerimov took over the control of bankrupt Makhachkala Airport.[8]

PJSC Polyus

In 2015, Said Kerimov became a majority shareholder in Polyus Gold, Russia’s largest gold producer.[9][10] In the same year Polyus Gold announced that it was delisting from the London Stock Exchange (LSE) and rebranded as PJSC Polyus.[11][12]

In July 2017, Polyus was re-admitted to the London Stock Exchange.[13]
