Ryan Matthew Serhant (born July 2, 1984)[1][2] is an American real estate salesperson and reality television star. Serhant has been one of three real estate agents featured on Bravo's Million Dollar Listing New York since its first season in 2012.[3]

Early life and education

Serhant was born in Houston, Texas. He was raised in Topsfield, Massachusetts, in the North Shore region of Boston, where he attended Pingree School.[4][5] Serhant attended Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School & Camp while spending summers with family in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.[6] Later, Serhant attended Hamilton College where he double majored in English Literature and Theatre.[7] He was a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity.[7] After graduation he moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting.

Career

In 2007, Serhant landed the role of Evan Walsh on the soap opera As the World Turns.[4]

Serhant works at Nest Seekers International, one of the fastest growing real estate firms in NYC.[8][9] In 2012, The Real Deal ranked Serhant #15 out of the 100 most successful sales people in New York.[9] Serhant currently stars on Million Dollar Listing New York, alongside fellow brokers Fredrik Eklund and Steve Gold. Serhant also frequently appears on national television shows as a real estate expert.[10] He has appeared on CNN, CNBC, FOX, NBC, ABC and CBS.[10] Serhant also created, produces and stars in the real estate web series, Realty Byte with Ryan Serhant, accessible online on Spin Media’s Celebuzz platform.[9]

Serhant co-starred in Noah Baumbach’s 2014 film While We're Young.[11]

Personal life

On September 14, 2014, Serhant shut down Times Square and proposed to lawyer Emilia Bechrakis.[12] On July 7, 2016, the two married in Corfu, Greece, in a Greek church following Serhant's conversion to the Greek Orthodox Church.[13]
