Service

In November 2016, in the course of the Russian military campaign in Syria, Admiral Grigorovich participated in a large-scale operation to strike targets in Syria by launching Kalibr cruise missiles.[1]

The ship was deployed to the eastern Mediterranean off the Syria coast at the time of the United States cruise missile strike on Syria′s Shayrat Airbase that occurred on 7 April 2017.[2]

On 25 August 2018, the Black Sea Fleet said Admiral Grigorovich, along with similar frigate Admiral Essen, were making a ″planned passage from Sevastopol to the Mediterranean Sea″ to join the Russian Navy’s Mediterranean task force.[3]
