Russian Academy of Natural Sciences

The Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (Russian: Российская Академия естественных наук) is a Russian non-governmental organization, founded on August 31, 1990 in Moscow, USSR. As of 2018 the Academy operates under the Federal Law of August 23, 1996 No. 127-FZ "On Science and State Scientific-Technical Politics".[1] The Russian Academy of Natural Sciences principally aims to unite scholars in different fields to work for the betterment of Russia.[2]

The Russian Academy of Natural Sciences does not have any association with the Russian Academy of Sciences and has come under criticism for the fact that many of its members do not have any scientific credentials and because some of its members peddle pseudoscience.[3][4][5]
