The Royal Thai Army Expeditionary Division, or the Black Panthers was a unit of the Royal Thai Army which served in the Vietnam War, replacing the Royal Thai Volunteer Regiment (Queen's Cobras) in 1968. The Division consisted of two infantry brigades, three 105mm howitzer artillery battalions, and an armored cavalry unit.[1] After the end of Vietnam War Royal Thai Army Expeditionary Division have been raised to 9th Infantry Division (Fort Surasi, Kanchanaburi Province).
