Roxie Marie

Roxie Marie is a female character on Sesame Street. She is performed by Fran Brill. Roxie Marie is Biff the Hardhat's niece. Roxie has a distinct interest in bugs and always wants to capture them. She is best friends with Kingston Livingston III and sits next to him in school. Originally, Roxie's accent was more soft and sweet, but when she was fleshed out into Biff's niece, her accent became more gruff and tomboyish. Despite being a major character in stage shows, Roxie only lasted a few years in the actual series.

The design of Roxie was used for Grigotte on 5, Rue Sésame, who is in a wheelchair.
