Ross McMains, is a New Zealand/ American basketball coach working as an assistant coach for the Westchester Knicks of the NBA G League [1] Previously he served as an assistant coach for the Santa Cruz Warriors[2]
NBL Coaching Career
In 2016, McMains led the Taranaki Mountain Airs to their best record since the 2008 season, finishing one win shy of the playoffs with an 8–10 record.[3] Team captain Aaron Bailey-Nowell noted that the improvement in the team was largely due to one factor – coach Ross McMains.[4] In 2016, McMains received the NBL coach of the year award [5]
In 2015, he was named an assistant coach for the Tall Blacks. [6]
