Rosie Jones (comedian)

Rosie Jones is a British comedian with cerebral palsy.[1] She has written for The Last Leg, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Harry Hill's Alien Fun Capsule and Would I Lie To You?.[2][3] She appeared in a 2018 episode of Silent Witness.[4]

In 2011, Jones was hired as a junior researcher for Objective Media Group as part of a disability scheme at Channel 4.[2] She later became unemployed, but found work again whilst attending a screenwriting class with National Film and Television School.[2] Jones reached the final of the 2016 Funny Women Awards.[2]

In 2017, Jones performed stand-up comedy at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in her show "Inspiration". The show received 3.5 stars in Chortle[5] and three stars in The List.[6] Metro listed her as one of "9 hilarious women to look out for in 2017".[7]

In 2018, Jones' Edinburgh Festival Fringe show was entitled "Fifteen Minutes". She and her routine were featured in Edinburgh Nights, a BBC show about the Fringe presented by Nish Kumar. "Fifteen Minutes" received five stars in iNews[1] and The Arts Desk,[8] and four stars in Chortle[9] and Broadway World.[10] It was listed by London Evening Standard as one of the ten "best comedy shows to see" at the festival.[11]
