Rose Kaufman (née Fisher; March 30, 1939 December 7, 2009) was an American screenwriter who co-wrote the screenplays of The Wanderers (1979) and Henry & June (1990) with her husband, writer-director Philip Kaufman.[1]

Personal life

Rose met Philip Kaufman in 1957, when they were undergraduates at the University of Chicago. A year later, in 1958, the two married. They had one son, Peter (b. 1960).[2][3]

Career

She made appearances in bit roles in Henry & June and Invasion of the Bodysnatchers (1978), which were written and directed by her husband.

Death

Rose Kaufman died in San Francisco after a long battle with cancer. She was 70 years old.
